So over this blog I am going to be talking about the new Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. I have been using mine in the salon for about 2
weeks now and I am constantly looking at it thinking how cool it is. Let me tell you why.
The styling is something completely new to the market that we have not seen before which at first glance makes it stand out from the crowd. It typically looks like a Dyson product so immediately you know its something intriguing, it has certainly got a lot of people talking, intact nearly all of our clients at Halo talking about it.
The part that you can see completely through it where the airflow would traditionally be coming from on a conventional hairdryer. Dyson have taken the motor that usually has been placed here and hidden it in the handle. They have incredible digital technology which enables them to do this. The Dyson digital motor V9’s 13 impeller blades spin up yo 110,000rpm, generating so much more pressure. Its an average 6 times faster and 1/3 of the weight of other hair dryers this one is competing with on the market today.
One of the great features that Dyson have paid attention too are the styling attachments that come with the dryer. The 3 different attachments literally snap on and snap off using magnetic connections. This I think over time will ensure the smoothing nozzle, styling
concentrator and the diffuser all fit perfectly. Having experienced older dryers and their attachments seem to take a disliking to one
another over time and not want to fit correctly which can sometimes result in my clients getting attacked with a torpedo nozzle being
flung at their head for no other reason then the fittings no longer wanting to work correctly which can be embarrassing for me!
There is some cool 21st centenary witch craft hidden inside this dryer. A thermal sensor apparently measures the exit flow temperature
20 times per second, sending that data back into the dryers microprocessor and making the appropriate adjustments to keep the
dryers parts and components safe, and most importantly my clients hair!! Thank you Dyson!
All in all I am extremely impressed with my Dyson Superonic hair dryer and would highly recommend anyone to invest in one, http://www.dyson.co.uk/haircare/supersonic/overview.aspx#smooth-scroll-shop
I know we are pleased with it at Halo Hair Salon in Sawston.
